Project, engineering and product development

We gather the customer's requirements, develop solutions and ensure function and quality in the early phases.

Engineering, design and product development

Engineering covers development, calculation, dimensioning and drafting of your product. We are the spider at the centre of the web, helping customers find the best possible solution — with manufacturability in mind from the first sketch.

  • Development, calculation, dimensioning and drafting
  • Constructive feedback at an early stage — reviews of drawings that lower the customer's costs
  • Manufacturability-led engineering that holds all the way from drawing to finished part
  • In-house workshop with CAD/CAM software and CNC machines under one roof
  • Internal competence combined with an established network of proven suppliers
  • Help finding the right suppliers for what we don't do ourselves
Principle
Good drawing, good part
Approach
Engineering + workshop under one roof

3D drawing and visualisation

Engineer working with CAD model on large screen

For many, design is a critical factor. We have developed the design discipline within our core area — mechanics. The first step is often a hand sketch that is then developed and drawn up in drawing software, where the designer adapts it to the application.

  • From hand sketch to finished drawing adapted to the application
  • 3D modelling and 2D drawing for both development and production
  • Design work tied to our core area, mechanics — where function drives the form
  • Design, engineer and produce under one roof together with our partners
  • Further development of the customer's existing drawings
  • Direct link to our own CNC workshop

Prototype and small-series manufacturing

Qtech's prototype workshop — technician monitoring a HAAS VM2 5-axis CNC mill

Our prototype workshop has six CNC machines — three 3-axis mills, one 5-axis mill and two lathes — where we combine automated machining with manual craftsmanship to meet customer needs from single parts to pre-series production.

  • Single parts, pre-series production and spare parts manufacturing
  • CNC machines combined with manual craftsmanship
  • In-house fixtures — mechanical, welding and assembly
  • CAD/CAM work in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks
  • Short lead times thanks to in-house workshop and prepared materials
  • Smooth transition from prototype to series in the same machine park
